Percussion Play Strikes a New Note: Unveiling Our Eco-Friendly Home at Dunsbury Park

We have recently relocated to our new home at Dunsbury Park, and after a few months, we are excited to share some beautiful photos of our new place with you. Our Hampshire-based business has nearly tripled its office and production space, reflecting significant growth in sales and recruitment. Dunsbury Park, where our new home is located, is an award-winning business park just eight miles north of Portsmouth and benefits from Freeport status, offering incentives to boost economic activity and support our future growth plans while creating additional job opportunities in the area.

Our new two-story office and workshop feature many eco-friendly elements to reduce our carbon footprint, including rainwater harvesting, solar thermal heating, EV charging points, and solar panels. These features were incorporated as part of the development by Portsmouth City Council. Additionally, the new building has been awarded a BREEAM (Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method) 'Excellent' rating and an EPC (Energy Performance Certificate) Class A rating, providing a sustainable environment to enhance the well-being of our employees.

Jody Ashfield, CEO and Co-Founder of Percussion Play explains, "Our previous location didn't provide enough space to bring all of our manufacturing in-house. With significant growth, we needed to expand to continue our operations and improve our manufacturing process and capabilities. The new facility gives us the space to do this and room to comfortably expand into. Our new location is also much closer to the majority of our employees and a large population in the south of England, providing greater access to candidates as we continue to grow. The new building's energy-efficient features, including solar panels, solar thermal, and rainwater harvesting, will significantly reduce the environmental impacts of our production processes, as all our products are now manufactured under one roof right here in Hampshire, compared to the various subcontracted processes in our old location."
