New! The Ultimate Urban Music Ensemble - The Street Quartet

We know the urban realm is a harsh and demanding environment which is why each instrument in the new Street Quartet ensemble has been specially selected for their supreme durability. Consisting of a large Babel Drum, Handpipes, Emperor Chimes and Cajon Drum, all are made from either stainless steel or aluminium, both have clean attractive finishes that are visually appealing while delivering superior robustness and high corrosion resistance - making them practical for many different types of outdoor space.

What we love most is that they are all designed to be played with the hands - so no beaters or mallets required!

About Our Ensembles

Our Ensembles are a great way to get your outdoor music project moving quickly. You know you want a great combination of outdoor musical instruments, but just don't know where to begin to ensure the different instruments you select will work together harmoniously. Don’t worry, we’ve done the hard-work for you! With each of the Ensembles we offer, we have carefully considered the character and sound each instrument produces, ensuring the absolute best combination of instruments - saving you both time and money and guaranteeing a memorable and unique sound.

The size of the Ensembles is up to you, the available outdoor space and of course your budget. With lots of possibilities and options available, there is something for everyone.

An Ensembles allows players the opportunity to explore several outdoor percussion instruments, experiment with different playing techniques, practice improvisation and learn the fundamentals of outdoor group multi-percussion performance.

The most unusual and exciting musical ideas often arise simply from people who are enjoying playing together, taking risks, trusting each other, and simply having fun with music.

We have recently uploaded new videos of all our Ensembles, featuring music composed by Matthew Slater using only the Percussion Play instruments featured.
