Important Notes Stepping Stones cannot be installed on loose surfaces, such as engineered wood fiber or loose-fill mulch. A suitable solid base is required for installation.
Earlier versions (including those shown in some videos and photographs) featured note names on the top surface. These have since been removed to improve global accessibility, in recognition of international differences in musical notation systems. This also gives designers greater flexibility when specifying installations, allowing multiple stones of the same color to be selected while assigning different sounds or chords.
